about

Composed & arranged by Barry Phillips

Composed in San Diego, California (2007) as a bamboo pipe quartet. At this time I was transcribing new music for Ravi Shankar at his home, and in my spare time wrote this jig with a tip of the hat to Ralph Vaughan Williams (one time head of the Pipers Guild), and with many Ravi Shankar-influenced rhythms.

Shelley Phillips - 2 bamboo pipes (soprano and alto)
Barry Phillips - 2 cellos
